Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Newcastle – Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £32,760 + overtime
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you\’ll be part of a skilled and dedicated team responsible for maintaining and repairing military vehicles and electrical equipment. Your work will directly support the UK\’s defence capability—making this a career with real purpose and impact.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, repairing, and overhauling military vehicles and electrical systems
- Diagnosing, inspecting, and assessing vehicles and associated equipment
- Creating job cards and requesting materials using ERP (SAP) systems
- Completing documentation and test certificates to current standards
- Ensuring correct use of stores and returning unused or faulty items
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair
- Preferred: Ex-REME Class 1 Vehicle Mechanic with current competencies (not essential)
