Permanent Recruitment Team Leader at Atlas Professionals

Atlas Professionals are recruiting for a Senior Instrument & Control Engineer based in Aberdeen. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement: Monday and Friday from home, Tuesday to Thursday in the office.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide instrument & control engineering input into tenders and proposals.
  2. Identify and implement improvements to working practices, systems, and team efficiency.
  3. Assist and supervise workload allocation and delivery of discipline personnel.
  4. Ensure work compliance with budget and schedule.
  5. Maintain project plans, progress updates, and cost control for assigned scopes.
  6. Manage project scope and schedule changes according to the change control process in collaboration with Lead/Principal Engineer.
  7. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, codes, and procedures.
  8. Prepare and approve estimates and schedules; submit electronically via digital platforms (e.g., Slingshot).
  9. Maintain effective communication with project management and interdisciplinary teams.
  10. File discipline and inter-discipline documents electronically.
  11. Conduct and support competency assessments of discipline personnel.
  12. Provide technical assistance to discipline personnel.
  13. Implement appropriate engineering processes and procedures.
  14. Maintain regular contact with Lead/Principal Engineer, highlighting issues and areas for improvement.
  15. Oversee vendor and contractor deliverables, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  2. Strong technical background and expertise.
  3. Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and statutory documentation.
  4. Competence in commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of engineering.
  5. Experience in discipline design, including multi-discipline approaches and analytical methods.
