Atlas Professionals are recruiting for a QHSE Manager for a marine client based in central Aberdeen. This will be a full time role, working Monday to Friday. Ideally candidates should have QHSE experience within the Marine Industry.
The main duties of the role will be:
- To provide advice and support for all aspects of Health & Safety related to the safe operation of company fleet.
- Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and review of the company's IMS for the fleet.
- Assessing accidents and hazardous occurrence reports relating to all office personnel and ships personnel, and carrying out investigations where required.
- Compiling a monthly summary of accidents and hazardous occurrence reports and safety statistics.
- Responsible for planning internal/external audits for the office and fleet vessels as well as assessing audit results and ensuring timely implementation of corrective/preventative action.
- Assessing feedback from fleet vessels and proposing improvements to the shore based safety committee.
- Chair QHSE meetings where required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with the company's HSE strategy alongside managing and identifying compliance training programmes for on and offshore staff.
Candidates should have a sound understanding of relevant ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), have a proven background in the maritime industry, ideally being certified to deck officer level and a NEBOSH or equivalent would also be preferred.
