As part of our continued growth, we are supporting a major global energy client on a flagship offshore wind development.
This is a key opportunity to operate within a tier-one project environment, supporting the Wind Turbine Package on a large-scale offshore wind project. You will play a critical role in:
- Managing claims and commercial risk
- Developing robust quantum assessments
- Providing clear, data-driven commercial insight
Working as part of an integrated project team, you will be instrumental in ensuring that project events are properly captured, assessed, and translated into strong commercial positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Claims Leadership
- Support the preparation and management of client-facing and supply chain claims
- Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) analysis and documentation
- Produce high-quality quantum assessments and substantiated cost narratives
- Identify and track events giving rise to contractual entitlement
- Cost Commercial Management
- Deliver accurate cost tracking, allocation, and reporting
- Produce forecasts, cost summaries, and trend analysis
- Maintain visibility of claim-related expenditure and commercial risk
- Controls Project Integration
- Maintain robust and auditable commercial records
- Support development of commercial reporting tools and dashboards
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with project delivery, commercial, and finance teams
- Interface with subcontractors and key supply chain partners
- Support commercial discussions with client and internal leadership
About You
Essential
- Strong experience in quantity surveying or commercial management within major projects
- Demonstrable expertise in claims management and EOT processes
- Proven ability to develop detailed cost substantiation and quantum analysis
- Highly analytical with the ability to turn data into actionable insight
- Strong communicator with effective stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- Experience in offshore wind, renewables, or major infrastructure
- Familiarity with EPC/EPCI contracts and FIDIC frameworks
- RICS chartership (or working towards)
- Exposure to formal claims or dispute resolution processes
