Geotechnical Representative opportunity in Southampton (office based role - night shift) from 27 July to the end of August/early September. Travel, accommodation, hotel and meals will be arranged, and the engagement will be via Limited Company.
We are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Representative to provide onshore operational support during an offshore geotechnical campaign.
Location: Southampton (office based role)
Position: Night shift
Duration: Start: 27 July, Expected duration: Until the end of August / early September (subject to operational requirements)
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the client's onshore geotechnical representative during offshore operations.
- Monitor geotechnical data acquisition and ensure work is carried out in accordance with the project requirements.
- Liaise with the offshore vessel team, geotechnical contractors and project stakeholders.
- Review operational progress and support decision-making during the campaign.
- Monitor data quality and report any operational issues or deviations.
- Prepare and maintain daily reports and communicate project updates to the wider project team.
- Ensure compliance with project procedures and HSE requirements.
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience as a Geotechnical Representative or in a similar geotechnical offshore support role.
- Strong understanding of offshore geotechnical investigations and data acquisition.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience supporting offshore surveys or site investigations is desirable.
