Atlas Professionals are currently recruiting for an experienced Offshore Telecoms Technician to support operations on a major UK offshore asset on an initial 12-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a telecoms professional with upstream oil & gas experience to join a high-performing offshore operations team, responsible for maintaining the reliability, availability, and integrity of critical telecommunications systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and corrective maintenance on offshore telecoms systems.
- Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting activities to minimise operational downtime.
- Conduct inspections, testing, calibration and system repairs as required.
- Support maintenance planning and execution of work programmes.
- Provide technical input into root cause investigations and equipment reliability improvements.
- Manage maintenance documentation and update maintenance management systems.
- Liaise effectively with offshore and onshore teams, including specialist vendors and contractors.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
Candidates should possess:
- Proven offshore telecoms technician experience within the oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance, testing and fault-finding of telecoms equipment and systems.
- Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Vocational qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Instrument Engineering.
- Current and valid:
- BOSIET/FOET (or equivalent Offshore Survival)
- Offshore Medical
- MIST
- COMPEX Ex01-Ex04 certification
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
