Job Description
We are recruiting for a Quality Improvement Lead to join the Non-conformance Management team based in Lincoln, supporting our Small Gas Turbine business. We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to support the business in all aspects of non-conformance management. We are looking for someone who is reliable, confident, has a passion for quality and can work with a variety of departments on various problems.
What are my responsibilities?
Working within the non-conformance management team you will be responsible for supporting all areas investigating non-conformance within the SGT business, including:
- Facilitating and coaching problem solving and root cause analysis
- Improving tools and processes
- Training in the use of problem-solving tools and techniques
- Providing guidance and governance for non-conformance management
- Working with functional leads to deliver an improved quality culture within the business
You will support with delivering effective governance for all problem-solving activities within all areas and ensure that non-conformance cost (NCC) targets and KPI's are exceeded.
You will work with SGT teams and the central quality team to improve the non-conformance management processes, tools and reporting to help capture and investigate all non-conformance and make visible across the business.
Knowledge & Skills
This position requires a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in problem solving and non-conformance, who is willing to take on new challenges and adopt a positive approach to work. This person will need excellent interpersonal skills and will be confident in communicating at all levels of the business.

- Experience of interfacing with a variety of departments, including project teams, design teams and third parties

- Engineering industry / manufacturing background
- A clear and accurate understanding of quality management systems
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Graduate calibre candidate required
- Experience with problem solving and leading investigations - using formal techniques
- Experience facilitating workshops and training
- Experience with data interpretation / metrics
