Atlas NextWave are recruiting for a Junior Crewing Officer based in Aberdeen city centre on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with potential to work from home up to 2 days per week upon successful completion of training. The successful candidate will play a role in assisting the Crewing Dept with availability and suitability of qualified crew whilst maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with Reception duties such as answering telephone calls, answering door calls and registering visitors in the visitor log, opening mail and distributing to all departments.
- Assisting in recruitment of ships personnel and scheduling of the personnel to all fleet vessels and ensuring that all ships personnel meet flag state and other regulating authorities, training/qualification requirements.
- Data entry, maintaining and verifying crew personnel records and assisting in the day to day HR/payroll queries from fleet vessel and crews.
- Participation in vessel visits and onboard Crewing Audits.
- Arranging travel for fleet personnel to/from their respective vessels.
- Verifying purchasing invoices against purchase orders made and delivery orders before approval for payment.
- Performing on call duties as required.
- Assisting Management Team with other administration requirements when required.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with some office based experience that are looking to either continue in a logistics / crewing type role or progress into this type of role.
