Atlas NextWave are recruiting for an HSEQ Manager based in Portlethen, Aberdeenshire. This will be a full time role, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with hybrid working being an option.
Duties:
- Liaise with clients and regulatory authorities on health, safety and environmental policy matters.
- Familiarise themselves with the Group Safety Policy and take all reasonable care to ensure the health and safety of themselves and persons likely to be affected by their acts or omissions, as required by company OIM'S.
- Assist in the preparation of annual health, safety and environmental plans which set performance objectives and targets.
- Be fully conversant with existing and new statutory legislation, regulations and codes of practice affecting company’s operations in the North Sea.
- Conduct audits of all installations, Group premises, warehouse, storage yards and parking areas in accordance with Group Procedures.
- Develop and promote safety campaigns and systems of work both on and offshore.
- Oversee and direct the activities of the Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Department in support of company's business.
- Investigate the reporting of all incidents in liaison with relevant personnel, occurring on any company work location.
- Advise Senior Management of any deficiencies or recommend remedial actions that may result from an investigation.
- Recommend HSE Minimum Standards for all company operations and projects.
- Complete tender bids (as required) ensuring details are factual promoting the company in a positive manner.
- Assist the Group in maintaining & improving environmental compliance with ISO 14001 (supporting the base Ecologic Team).
- Facilitate leadership meetings relating to the management of health, safety and environment issues.
- Assist the Group in maintaining & improving occupational health & safety with ISO 45001.
- Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System ensuring internal, external & offshore audits are planned, completed, recorded and actions closed out in a timely manner in line with ISO 9001 Standards.
- Assist the Offshore BU HSSEQ Manager in the management of HSSEQ activities within the Business Units (Offshore BU & RDS).
- Review the 30/60/90 operational lookahead to ensure appropriate plans are in place to address the identified risks.
Qualifications Required:
- HSE entry qualification, educational qualification or relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of QHSE processes, procedures and policies ensuring effective application and continuous improvement.
- Experience of working in a high-volume transaction processing environment, ideally QHSE.
- Ability to run and manipulate reports.
- Ideally candidates should have previous drilling experience.
