A renewable energy developer is looking to appoint a Grid Construction Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the UK.

This role focuses on the construction and delivery of grid connections, working closely with DNOs, ICP contractors, and project delivery teams to ensure successful energisation of new assets. Projects are currently located across Yorkshire, the Midlands and Scotland, though candidate location is flexible with travel to site as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the construction and delivery of HV grid connections up to 132kV
  • Coordinate ICP contractors and electrical construction activities
  • Act as the interface between the project team and DNOs / network operators
  • Oversee grid connection works including substations, HV cabling and energisation
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with CDM regulations and HSE requirements
  • Support grid energisation, commissioning and handover processes
  • Monitor project progress, programme and contractor performance

Requirements

  • Experience delivering HV grid connections (33kV – 132kV)
  • Background in electrical construction, grid delivery or HV project management
  • Experience working with DNOs and ICP contractors
  • Strong understanding of grid connection delivery and energisation processes
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and site safety management
  • Renewable energy, grid infrastructure or HV contractor background preferred

A degree is not required for this role. Practical delivery experience within HV grid construction environments is highly valued.

Salary £50,000 – £70,000 depending on experience.

Location UK based with travel to sites across Yorkshire, Midlands and Scotland.
