What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carry out planned painting and decorating work across multiple hotels — including bedrooms, corridors, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exteriors.
- Prepare surfaces, complete repairs, and apply finishes to a high standard across different materials such as plasterboard, timber, and metal.
- Plan and prioritise work with the Regional Property Manager to minimise disruption to hotel operations.
- Make confident on-site decisions and resolve minor issues independently.
- Keep your workspace safe, tidy, and well-organised.
- Ensure rooms and areas are returned to service quickly and to a high standard.
- Build strong working relationships with hotel teams and plan work collaboratively.
- Share knowledge and best practices within the wider Property & Maintenance network.
- Follow all health, safety, and fire life safety procedures.
- Take responsibility for your ongoing learning and development to grow within Atlas Hotels.
We think you'll thrive if you have:
- Proven experience in painting and decorating, ideally in a customer-facing or commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of wall repairs, surface prep, and finishing across various materials.
- NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Flexibility to prioritise tasks and work away from home when needed.
- Experience working in a hotel or multi-site environment.
- Exposure to broader property and maintenance operations in a corporate setting.
