About The Role
Atlas Workplace Services is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering financial control and insight to support our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts within six working days of month-end.
- Report and forecast financial performance in line with month-end timetables.
- Update annual forecasts monthly and prepare annual budgets.
- Complete VAT returns and maintain data integrity for ad hoc reporting.
- Liaise with management to improve reporting systems and internal processes.
- Manage and develop the Assistant Management Accountant.
About You
Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required
- Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) accreditation or working towards accreditation.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience for this role
- Demonstrate competence in variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting, month end accounting procedures and statutory accounts preparation.
- Ability to communicate with both senior management and operational staff.
- Willingness to recommend, accept and encourage change within the organisation.
- Ability to clearly explain the financial impact of financial transactions to non-financial staff.
- Ability to critically assess the effectiveness of the company's current reporting systems and make recommendations for improvements.
