This role is based at the University of London, London (On-site) with a salary of up to £65,000 per annum and is a full-time position.
The Contract Manager will be responsible for the P&L, operational management, and delivery of a range of leading facilities management services across the UoL estate. This role ensures the portfolio is safe, fit for purpose, and fully operational in line with client expectations and the high standards of Atlas Workplace Services. You will oversee customer interfaces and maintain a high-profile, positive image of Atlas at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Contract & Customer Management
- Lead the delivery of FM services across the UoL estate, ensuring KPIs, SLAs and statutory compliance are met.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as the main point of contact for clients, customers and suppliers.
- Ensure high-quality delivery of M&E and building fabric services, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
- Drive a customer-focused culture and continually seek opportunities to improve service and grow the contract.
- People Leadership
- Lead, develop and motivate a multi-disciplinary FM team.
- Manage performance, conduct appraisals, address capability issues and support staff development.
- Foster collaboration across operational, compliance and support teams.
- Financial & Resource Management
- Hold full P&L responsibility, ensuring budgets and financial targets are achieved.
- Produce accurate financial reporting, project costing and service-delivery documentation.
- Ensure value for money and identify efficiencies and environmental improvements.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe, compliant environment across all sites.
- Ensure statutory records, PPM schedules and company governance requirements are fully adhered to.
- Lead incident and accident investigations and elevate H&S concerns when necessary.
- Supplier & Contract Oversight
- Manage supplier performance to ensure safety, service quality, business continuity and value for money.
- Provide clear and accurate feedback into the wider supplier management process.
- Business Support
- Contribute to bids for new business and support client site visits.
- Work closely with internal teams (Service Desk, H&S, HR, Sales) to share best practice and enhance delivery.
Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required:
- GCSE in English and Maths or Equivalent.
- Accredited Health and Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable).
- HNC status/NVQ (level 5) or equivalent with membership of BIFM/CIBSE/IET or relevant equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience for this role:
- A proven track record of company policy and procedure management and reviewing, implementing effective change.
- Transformation project management experience, including mobilisation.
- People management.
- Financial control co-ordination, including P&L responsibility and financial targets.
- Internal report and performance data production and presentation.
- Corporate Customer direct management, including producing customer reports and hosting performance review meetings.
- People management experience of large teams of 20+.
- Proven track record of auditing service delivery.
