Your role involves recruiting an experienced Area Sales Manager due to ongoing business needs at MSS Group. Ideally, you will have experience selling laser cutting, sheet metal working machinery, nitrogen generation, or compressed gas products. A good knowledge and experience of capital equipment sales is important, and a technical/engineering background is highly desirable. Detailed product training and support will be provided.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role will require sales management of one of MSS's key regional sales areas and MSS’s complete portfolio of high-pressure nitrogen equipment, including Nitrogen Generation systems, Gas Mixers, Gas filtration, and gas monitoring systems, as well as our range of new and used laser cutting and deburring systems. Typical sales values range from £5k to £450k.
To succeed, you will need:
- Existing customer account and relationship management.
- Sales growth and business development with new customers.
- Organising and managing customer machine demonstrations at MSS premises in Rugby.
- Occasional attendance at industry-related exhibitions.
- Providing detailed, clear technical guidance and justifications to potential customers.
- Preparing sales documentation including quotations, sales orders, and order acknowledgments.
- Continual and accurate sales forecasting with an established CRM system, including associated administration duties.
- Some sales support for PR, regular direct marketing, and social media work.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record selling capital equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Personable with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Able to work flexible hours with some nights staying away from home if required.
- Self-disciplined with an ability to work autonomously.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
