The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 € per year.

Your role is to lead, manage and coordinate, within the Manufacturing Engineering department, the Project Manufacturing Engineers (PME’s) in delivering manufacturing solutions for products and platforms through various channels (e.g., NPI, CIP, sustaining, business strategy etc). You will report to the Manufacturing Systems Manager.

You will:

  • Manage and plan PME activities to ensure capable capacity is maintained ensuring efficient workload.
  • Update and continuously improve PME tracker to ensure resource is focused and controlled.
  • Review, highlight, request and manage additional resources to achieve project timescales.
  • Lead and chair PME bi-weekly meetings ensuring visibility of all activities for knowledge share and risk mitigation.
  • Support and encourage personal development using 1-2-1 reviews and PDP’s at regular intervals.
  • Strategically guide the PME’s in development and modification of the manufacturing processes for new systems, platforms and sub-assemblies.
  • Ensure PCP Projects are delivered on time, to standard and within budget as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Have financial accountability for PME project expenditure (approval and review).
  • Participate in project team meetings (PTMs) and senior reviews (PCM’s) assisting PME’s and supporting engineering teams presenting manufacturing project status to site management team.
  • Support recruitment activities within the manufacturing systems group.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Proven experience leading manufacturing engineering or project engineering teams.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex manufacturing projects.
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrialisation and production risk management.
  • Experience setting and delivering business plans, KPIs and operational targets.
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing tools and methodologies.
  • Strong project and change management capability with measurable business outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assemblies.
  • Confident using ERP systems and engineering data.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to influence at all levels.
