  • Lead cross-functional obsolescence projects (electrical, mechanical, software/firmware, supplier, compliance), ensuring continuity of supply and support across the product lifecycle.
  • Define and drive cost reduction project strategy, identifying and prioritising opportunities (BOM, labour, supplier, test/verification, manufacturing yield) while protecting performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders across PCC, divisions, and external suppliers to align priorities, secure resources, and resolve conflicts.
  • Improve sustaining project delivery by developing and embedding standard ways of working, templates, and lessons learned to increase predictability and throughput.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Educated to Degree level in an Engineering/Science discipline or equivalent relevant experience (Desirable).
  • Training in continuous improvement/value engineering (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) (Desirable).

  • Skilled in risk management (RAID), dependency management and structured problem solving (Essential).
  • Commercial awareness; able to articulate trade-offs between cost, risk, schedule, and technical performance (Essential).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and negotiation skills across multiple organisational levels (Essential).
