Key Responsibilities
- To perform safe operation of rivet manufacturing equipment including heat-treatment, plating, sorting and collation processes, complying to company work procedures and instructions at all times.
- Regularly monitor production to ensure it meets the required quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance (TPM checks) and support breakdown maintenance as required.
- Work closely with the team leader and lead operator to ensure production meets agreed deadlines.
- Use overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) as the tool to help highlight potential issues and support improvement activities within the production areas.
- Liaise closely with colleagues on status of machines, maintenance and quality or on any other related issues to ensure the continuity of production.
- Maintain daily production, maintenance and quality records.
- Use a forklift truck or ped op for the transfer of raw materials from stores to production area.
- Promote a safe work area, carrying out regular housekeeping duties as necessary.

- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the company.
Education / Qualifications
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment and the ability to follow work instructions/specifications is essential.
- Previous experience of visual inspection for cosmetic defects would be a considerable advantage.
- A qualification in an engineering capacity would also be an advantage (NVQ, HNC, HND).
- Forklift truck licence would be desirable but is not essential.

- Be a good team player with experience of contributing to a team environment as well as the ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.
- Work accurately and efficiently.
- Possess good problem‑solving abilities.
- Have experience working in a fast‑moving environment and be able to demonstrate good time management and organisational skills.
