  • Own and deliver sustaining changes (ECR/ECO), including design updates, drawing/BOM updates, tolerance/fit reviews and documentation updates, working through configuration control and engineering change processes.
  • Support root-cause reduction of quality escapes and reliability issues by partnering with Quality and Operations; define verification/validation activities and ensure changes meet product, regulatory and SEMI safety requirements.
  • Manage component obsolescence and supplier/PCN-driven change impacts, assessing risk and coordinating equivalent/alternate part qualification with Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost-down initiatives for released products (DFMA/DFX), and support creation of robust service procedures, tooling and training to improve serviceability and uptime.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Engineering Degree Bachelors (minimum, essential), Masters (desirable), or demonstrable equivalent.
  • Working towards and committed to achieving registration with a recognised engineering institution (desirable).
  • Accreditations and or formal qualifications in Functional Safety (desirable).
  • Experience of design for x principles (x being manufacture, cost, assembly, maintainability etc) (Essential).
  • Preparedness to undertake further professional development incl. through training courses and the like, to increase your knowledge and enhance your capabilities (essential).

  • Ability to interpret requirements and technical deliverables and translate this into robust design solutions (Essential).
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical design engineering best practice (Essential).
  • A willing, helpful attitude, a calm professional manner, and the ability to assess and set priorities with the support of their direct line manager (Essential).

In return, we offer:

  • Culture of trust and accountability.
  • Lifelong learning and career growth.
