Your role as a Mechanical Engineer - A&D involves delivering best practice mechanical engineering of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will report to the Associate Principal Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Technical delivery of mechanical engineering expertise to a project, including subsystems and technology developments.
- Support 'Mechanical Engineering' activities across applicable projects.
- Advocate and support the adoption of best practice mechanical engineering to improve the delivery of the engineering function to time, cost, quality and specification, ensuring effective technical governance for safety, compliance, quality and reliability.
- Support the creation and distribution of work packages across multiple cross-functional teams, guiding the project toward successful completion and volume production.
To succeed, you will need:
- Engineering Degree Bachelors (minimum, essential), Masters (desirable), or demonstrable equivalent.
- Working towards and committed to achieving registration with a recognised engineering institution (desirable).
- Experience of design for x principles (x being manufacture, cost, assembly, maintainability etc) (Essential).
- Preparedness to undertake further professional development through training courses to increase your knowledge and enhance your capabilities (essential).
- Experience of mechanical engineering and design in a relatable engineering industry (desirable).
- Experience and understanding of working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry such as the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry (desirable), including strong understanding of product safety and compliance to applicable standards (desirable).

Job location: This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site in Bristol, United Kingdom (GB).
