Your role as Maintenance Assistant involves assisting with pipeline inspections, including terminal units, AVSU's, and area alarms. You will support our hose strategy and service business as required.
What your day will look like:
- Complete scheduled planned preventive inspection of terminal units and other pipeline equipment.
- Work unsupervised, using your own initiative.
- Identify additional works.
- Write reports.
- Update asset information onto MyMedGas (MMG).
- Complete Medgas Scans.
- Assist service engineers with hose replacements and onsite maintenance works as required, including lift and shift and cleaning plant.
- Be responsible for the company vehicle, ensuring service dates are adhered to and keeping the vehicle in a roadworthy state.
- Uphold the professional image of the company and comply with all relevant rules and regulations, including health and safety and environmental policies.
- Manage stock control.
To succeed, you will need:
- A clean driving licence.
- 3–5 GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A*-C) including English and maths.
- Basic IT knowledge, including emails and Microsoft Office.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Basic maintenance experience.
- Good communication skills and a presentable appearance.
- Knowledge of mechanical products.
- Comfort working in a hospital environment.
- A can-do attitude, with flexibility to work unsociable hours and travel away from home when required.
- The right to work in the UK (we are unable to assist with sponsorship).
