The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

The Steam & Industrial Air Field Engineer will be working with the project team to deliver rental boiler packages across UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project execution from initial site survey, all the way through to aftercare.

You will:

  • Carry out site surveys to ascertain technical requirements of any potential rental solution.
  • Contribute to the design phase of the project.
  • Carry out the commissioning activities prior to customer handover.
  • Carry out service checks & attend breakdowns if required.
  • The efficient management of PSSR2000 inspections, working closely with our chosen competent body.
  • Maintain regular customer contact to establish requirements and ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during the tendering phase.
  • Work alongside and collaborate with other Atlas Copco business colleagues to effectively promote Atlas Copco products and services.
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance on varied compressed air equipment and associated products.
  • Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on a varied range of compressed air equipment and associated products.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Previous project engineering experience, preferably relative to steam boilers.
  • Possess a recognised qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
  • Previous commissioning experience, preferably relative to steam boilers.
  • Experience with Weishaupt & Driezler burners would be advantageous.
  • Strong HSE track record.
  • Experience with pipework, hosework & associated ancillaries.
  • The ability to read P & ID as well as Electrical schematics.
  • Communication: the ability to express ideas, send, receive and exchange information clearly.
  • Able to positively persuade, convince and impress others in order to achieve results.
  • Able to maintain organisation, ethical and social values in all business activities.
  • Broad engineering knowledge across a number of subject matters.
  • Knowledge of PSSR2000 & PED statutes.
  • An understanding of piping standards.
