Your role as an Apprentice Workshop Engineer involves building technical expertise in repairing and servicing Atlas Copco Power Technique equipment. Working as part of the Workshop and Service team, you will support customers, ensure high-quality service delivery, and help drive ongoing improvements in customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn repairs on portable air compressors, energy storage systems, generators, pumps, and handheld equipment.
  • Learn the technical support procedures during breakdowns, including fault finding.
  • Learn how to provide customers with technical support, assistance, and guidance by phone, email, or on-site.
  • Learn how to maintain records of all activities.
  • Carry out calibrations and preventative maintenance tasks on a scheduled and planned maintenance basis.
  • Provide written and electronic reports on repairs and incidents as requested by management or the customer.
  • Provide advice and feedback to the customer on the use of their equipment.
  • Work as part of a team with our sales/project representatives and the customer to address any support and technical issues.
  • Work as part of a team providing on-site liaison between Atlas Copco PT and our customer.

Apprenticeship Course:

The apprentice will attend college one day per week to complete their apprenticeship qualification, details of which will be confirmed and discussed with the successful candidate prior to registration at the local college. When not in attendance at college, you will be required to work at the Daventry Workshop.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Grades A – C minimum in English, Maths, and Science.
  • A good interest in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Attention to detail, drive, and commitment to see the job through to a successful conclusion.
  • High motivation, enthusiasm, and determination.
  • Location within commuting distance of Daventry.
  • Driving licence required.
  • Team player.
