Your role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Liaison Executive to join the Edwards team based at Product Company Eastbourne. Edwards has been engineering environments where innovation thrives for more than 100 years.

As a Customer Liaison Executive, your mission is to promote and execute proactive customer service with the internal customer care teams, ensuring we are one step ahead of the status of customer orders so any deviation or customer requests can be communicated in a timely manner. You will report to our Planning & Analytics Manager.

You will:

  • Liaise daily with the production planners to check the production plan is on track and are informed of any deviation so it can be communicated to the customer.
  • Lead weekly status meetings with the customer centres to promote healthy working relationships and ensure they are informed.
  • Investigate any customer queries (i.e. early order requirements) with the supporting areas and feed back to customer the outcome in a timely manner.
  • Communicate any changes in lead times to the customer care teams.
  • Communicate and track short shipment status until it is closed.
  • Be a central point of contact on all shortages for the department, liaising with purchasing to ensure we have the most up to date information available.
  • Have visibility of when permits are in use to understand impact to lead order numbers.
  • Review current processes and strive for continuous improvement in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Excellent IT literacy, being a competent user of MS Office.
  • Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (ideally SAP and Kinaxis).

  • Experience in manufacturing or assembly.
  • Lean six sigma belt accredited.
