Your role
As a Business Development Manager -Europe, you will.
- Sales management & development of existing export distributor accounts.
- Seek out and develop new export distribution partners in agreed key target areas.
- Organising & managing customer machine demonstrations at MSS premises when required.
- Sales support & attendance at industry related exhibitions.
- Overseas travel, up to 2 weeks per month.
- Providing detailed, clear technical guidance & sales presentations potential export customers and distributors.
- Preparing sales supporting documentation
- Distributor & end user sales negotiating and closing.
- Achieving sales & growth targets.
- Continual update of MSS CRM export contacts & sales pipelines.
- Input for regular direct marketing and social media work.
To succeed, you will need
Essential:
- Track record of business development with distributor network.
- Experience selling capital equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Results oriented with a \’can do\’ attitude.
- Able to work flexible hours with some time staying away from home as required.
- Self-disciplined \’hunter gatherer\’ personality with a strong ability to work autonomously.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Location flexible but ideally within reach of MSS Offices in Rugby & International Airports.
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- 5 years capital sales experience.
- Experience working in the laser cutting, sheet metal working and or compressed gas industries.
- Foreign language skills, French and/or German preferred.
- Experience of export sales to end users &/or distributors.
- Strong IT literacy and ability especially with Microsoft Office and CRM software and LinkedIn.
- Engineering qualification HND/equivalent or higher is advantageous.
