As a Sales Engineer NC Air, your mission is to maximise revenue and profitability through sales excellence with a focus on sustainable growth. The role covers the full range of our industrial products and service portfolio, offering customers the best value solutions for their needs.
You will:
- Plan and prioritise sales activities.
- Engage in customer/prospect interaction and marketing activities towards achieving agreed business aims, including long term growth and profitability.
- Utilise a value-based sales approach promoting our products features and benefits.
- Adopt a hands-on sales approach: end user visits, sales demonstrations and exhibitions as required.
- Attend company and sales meetings and ensure that all subsequent actions required are undertaken.
- Adhere to health and safety policy and the company code of conduct.
- Work together with the customer centre team to deliver support to your customers in aftermarket, delivery, marketing functions, printed matter, training, warranty and other areas as required.
- Focus on driving positive development of customer satisfaction.
- Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.
- Support warranty and any supply issues for your customers if needed.
- Support service sales through undertaking site surveys and providing advice to both existing and potential customers.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Engineering or marketing education preferred. Relevant experience gained through time served accepted.
- Good sales skills that close the deal and maximise value for customers.
- Able to identify alternatives to current thinking; ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to problems.
- Less than 3 points on driving licence.
- Lives within geographical area and able to commute to the Thirsk office when required.
- Maintain clear focus on customer satisfaction; take actions when needed to meet customer expectations.
- Technology adept. Willing to use available tools (e.g. CRM, online dashboards) and ready to adopt new solutions.
- Able to stay overnight in the UK or Europe when required.
- Adept in use of Microsoft Office software.
- Sales/technical experience in compressed air, filtration, industrial gases and dryers.
