Key Responsibilities â Facilities
- Ensure all facility equipment works, is serviced and adheres to regulations.
- Oversee any subcontracted project on site, ensuring all work meets required standards.
- Manage all site services, keeping them operational at all times.
- Respond to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
- Conduct any site repairs that are not subcontracted.
- Support the maintenance department with electrical/mechanical work if required.
Key Responsibilities â Project Design
- Manage and support a number of key projects simultaneously across the business, driving innovative technological advances in manufacturing processes.
- Introduce and implement digitalisation around the business as required.
- Oversee process and plant ergonomic improvement design; improve product movement and flow, reducing or eliminating nonâvalueâadded time.
- Contribute to plant and process automation, digitalisation, ergonomic enhancements, layout changes and process improvement projects.
- Coordinate with other parties to collect and distribute project information, ensuring key milestones are achieved in a timely manner.
- Aid other members in any emergency or critical response.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company.
Essential Qualifications / Person Specifications
- Time served within an engineering discipline (electrical bias) with a minimum of an ONC, BTEC National, City & Guilds or NVQ level 3.
- Previous experience in conducting site facilities and/or site installation work.
- Experience with or selfâdriven to learn project management training.
- Experience in fastâmoving environments.
- Flexible according to project/business needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customerâfocused attitude.
- Able to identify important conclusions from engineering/test data.
- Selfâdriven attitude to learn new skills and keep up to date with new emerging technologies.
Desirable Qualifications / Person Specifications
- Experience working with eCAD software.
- Knowledge of industry 4.0 enabling technologies.
- Forklift truck & IPAF licence.
- Awareness of when to escalate technical concerns.
- Resilient, optimistic and able to work outside their comfort zone.
- Able to develop and maintain successful working relationships.
