Your role at Nano Purification Solutions involves supporting MSS Ltd in Rugby with regular travel and reporting directly to the General Manager of Nano Purification Solutions Ltd. The position is responsible for building a strong Human Resources function within the business, in partnership with local management and the wider group HR team.

Human Resources Business Partner

  • Building strong relationships: cultivate trust and effective communication with all stakeholders to understand and deliver tailored HR solutions.
  • Driving talent management: implement robust acquisition, development and retention strategies to attract and keep top talent while promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Enhancing employee experience: create a positive and engaging work environment, address concerns, promote well-being and facilitate professional growth opportunities.
  • Supporting organisational change: lead and manage change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with strategic goals, minimising disruption and maintaining morale.
  • Ensuring compliance and best practices: uphold legal and regulatory compliance and implement HR best practices to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Promoting a culture of excellence: encourage high performance, accountability and continuous learning to drive business results and support the company’s mission, vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders to provide strategic HR insights that drive business outcomes and expand organisational capabilities.
  • Manage employee relations, resolving conflicts in accordance with local legislation and company guidelines.
  • Provide advice on new legislation and employee relations issues, maintain policies and best practice, including a competitive benefits package.
  • Coach managers on team coaching, performance reviews, disciplinary and grievance hearings up to dismissals.
  • Advise employees on hire-to-retire matters and employment policies, highlighting any areas of concern.
  • Support managers with performance development, closing skills gaps and enhancing competency and time-to-competence.
  • Develop the talent acquisition strategy, recruit high-quality employees, and implement succession planning.
  • Produce job offers, terms and conditions, and all associated correspondence; complete pre-employment activities and induction plans.
  • Manage the reference process, including Right to Work checks and chasing outstanding references.
  • Handle variations to contracts and terms and conditions.
  • Manage the leaver process, conduct exit interviews, monitor trends and provide feedback to line managers and the company.
  • Process all employee data related to payroll in line with the payroll timetable.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion and belonging; improve employee engagement and retention through insights and workshops.
  • Manage sickness, absence process, occupational health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Participate in employee branding and engagement activities.
  • Develop and deliver HR training sessions for employees and managers.
  • Maintain accurate master HR data, KPI metrics and analytics for monthly, quarterly and board reporting.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and duties as required.

Your Skills And Experience

  • CIPD qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to resolve conflict.
  • HR experience in a fast-paced environment, high accuracy, strong coordination and organisational skills, and a professional customer-focused work ethic.
  • Hardworking, resilient, pragmatic, delivering results in a timely manner.
  • Confidence dealing with a demanding customer group, with sound business acumen and logical thinking.

Location

This role will be based at Nano in Gateshead, with regular on-site visits required at the MSS office in Rugby.
