Working in the field sales team, you’ll be responsible for developing existing territories and increasing market share by selling the widest range of high quality Compressed Air & Vacuum equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Promoting the business in Wales and West UK, supporting the Sales Manager and other team members in achieving sales and developing the customer base.
- Undertaking proposals, including the calculation of sales prices to achieve sales.
- Supporting sales with demonstrations, exhibitions and negotiations to achieve targets.
- Undertaking site surveys and providing technical advice to both existing and potential customers.
- Ensuring that an excellent standard of after‑sales service is provided.
- Managing and incentivising the distributor network within the geographical area.
- Providing sales data, including the timely recording of visits and action reports (including lost order reports) and analysing sales performance against budget.
To succeed, you will need:
- Proven sales experience, selling capital equipment.
- A technical background or qualification – though not essential.
- A good sales background, positive attitude and aptitude to learn are also valued.
- Experience or knowledge of the compressed air industry ideally.
- A full UK driving licence, because this is a field‑based job and you will be travelling on a daily basis across your region.
- Excellent IT skills, and a desire to learn new systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Excellent organisation and time‑management skills.
