The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

Your role as a Compliance Engineer is to ensure the business remains compliant, audit-ready, and operationally effective through a risk-based, system-led approach to SHEQ management. You will report to the Hiring Manager.

You will:

  • Maintain and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) across quality, environment, and health & safety standards
  • Deliver internal audits, support external audits, and ensure timely closure of audit findings
  • Drive risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement through investigations, data insights, and system optimisation

To succeed, you will need:

  • Experience working as a Compliance, Quality, or SHEQ professional within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of IATF16949 or ISO9001, plus ISO14001 and/or ISO45001
  • Proven experience with audit processes and compliance management
  • Understanding of risk-based thinking and structured problem solving (RCA)
  • Ability to simplify processes, improve systems, and engage stakeholders effectively
