Lead and manage the installation business, taking ownership of projects from order handover through to commissioning and sign-off.

Oversee resource planning and scheduling to maximise technician utilisation and operational efficiency.

Manage project lifecycles, budgets, costs, materials, and profitability across multiple installation projects.

Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, equipment, and logistics to ensure successful project delivery.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the key point of contact throughout project delivery.

Lead, motivate, and develop project managers, planners, and installation technicians.

Ensure all installations comply with health, safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including RAMS and pressure systems requirements.

Drive continuous improvement through project reviews, variation management, and performance analysis.

To succeed, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience managing mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, industrial pipework, or compressed air installation projects.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, and margin management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Health and safety awareness, with supervisory safety certification desirable (SSSTS, SMSTS, or IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
