Atlantis Tankers Group is seeking an experienced and internationally seasoned Tanker Broker to join our globally expanding team. The position is open to candidates both in Türkiye and abroad. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MR2-type product tankers and short & deep-sea chemical tankers (6,000 DWT and above), combined with a solid understanding of global market dynamics and proven international brokerage experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and develop strong relationships with Charterers, Operators, Competitive Brokers, Masters, Owners, Agents, and Traders.
- Negotiate and finalize spot and time charter agreements for MR and chemical tankers.
- Demonstrate excellent command of Tanker Industry CP Forms and TCP Forms.
- Track freight markets, commodity movements, vessel positions, and daily opportunities.
- Prepare market reports, fixture summaries, and analyses.
- Work independently or collaboratively on “Project Development.”
- Coordinate and oversee Post-Fixture Operations to ensure smooth contractual execution.
- Identify new business opportunities and evaluate financial feasibility.
- Actively expand the customer portfolio.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international tanker markets (oil, product, and chemical tankers).
- Deep knowledge of MR product and chemical tankers.
- Strong understanding of chartering procedures, fixture documentation, and vessel operations.
- Advanced command of English (minimum B2 in writing, reading, and speaking).
- In-depth awareness of global market trends, charterers, trade routes, and trade zones.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Team player who can also work independently, adapt to flexible schedules, and thrive under pressure.
- Existing sectoral connections are mandatory.
