We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist for one of the NHS Trusts in West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to join a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to patients.
Description:
In this role, you will support the assessment and intervention of highly complex patients under the Continuing HealthCare (CHC) Team within the CTM Health Board. The role involves providing assessments to patients within their own homes to determine the need for specialist manual handling equipment or techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex needs within their home environment.
- Determine and recommend the appropriate specialist manual handling equipment or techniques to meet patient needs.
- Submit equipment requests to the CHC Panel for consideration and approval.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
- Provide expert advice, guidance, and training to other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
- Previous experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent in a relevant setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and experience in managing complex cases.
- Knowledge of manual handling equipment and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
