About the Role: Our NHS Trust is seeking a Reporting Radiographer to play a crucial role in advancing our Reporting Service. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate reporting of scans with excellence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed written or verbal reports on diagnostic imaging (plain film/MRI/CT) to referring clinicians.
  • Organize and manage your workload efficiently daily.
  • Conduct high-quality diagnostic imaging across various modalities, adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Supervise and support junior Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, Apprentices, and students.
  • Assist in the teaching of SpRs and engage in research and audit activities.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to infection control and radiation safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and manage equipment issues, maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma or Equivalent; PgCert/PgDip/MSc in plain film reporting.

Experience:

  • Essential: Senior radiographer experience in multiple modalities; experience in monitoring junior staff.
  • Desirable: Previous reporting radiographer role; teaching and supervision experience.

Knowledge:

  • Essential: Familiarity with reporting radiographer standards and local policies; understanding of IR(ME)R legislation.
