We have an excellent opportunity in a community setting for an enthusiastic, passionate, and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist looking to develop their skills and experience. The role offers opportunities to work within a local and service-wide Multidisciplinary team, with training, clinical supervision, and CPD opportunities.
Our successful candidate will work flexibly, supporting people living across our area to achieve their occupational outcomes. - Use standardized and non-standardized assessments to evaluate the impact of a referred person's learning disability on their occupational participation and performance, including identifying their strengths and support needs in volition, habituation, performance skills, and environment.
- Provide individual and group therapy to develop occupational participation and performance in areas such as productivity, self-care, and leisure.
- Work with carers and support staff to facilitate, develop, and maintain occupational performance, improving quality of life based on the individual's needs and goals.
- Use accepted tools to assess and support individuals with a learning disability to achieve occupational outcomes related to functional ability and occupational performance improvement.

Skills:
- Current or previous experience working with adults/children with learning disabilities and ASD (including student placements).
- Passion or special interest in working with this population.
- Previous community MDT experience.
- Evidence of the value of OT-based interventions within any population.
- Evidence of promoting the profession in the current role (including student placements).
