Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Neuro Acute team, specialising in the assessment and rehabilitation of complex neurological conditions. You will work within a dynamic MDT to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, treat, and manage patients with complex neurological conditions including Stroke, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Traumatic Brain Injuries.
  • Independently manage a caseload of up to 8 patients, delivering up to 1 hour of daily input per patient.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, OTs, and rehab assistants using therapeutic adjuncts.
  • Act as a link worker for 1-2 patients, coordinating care, discharge planning, liaising with families, and leading meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using SystmOne and provide thorough handovers to the wider MDT.

Requirements:

  • Experience in neurorehabilitation (acute setting preferred)
  • Competency in Manual Handling, Resuscitation, Information Governance, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act/DoLS
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a car
