Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist with a specialist background in neurology to join our dynamic Neuro OT team. You will work with a neuro and neuro-cardiac patient cohort, providing timely assessments, implementing treatment programmes, and supporting discharge planning.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive neuro assessments, including cognitive and perceptual evaluations
- Plan and deliver personalised rehabilitation and functional re-training
- Work closely with the MDT on complex discharges and rehab plans
- Provide input into specialist seating needs
- Support patients within the ICU setting where required
Requirements:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Proven experience in neurology with specialist neuro skills
- Expertise in cognitive and perceptual assessment, functional rehab, and discharge planning
- Knowledge of specialist seating and experience in intensive care (desirable)
