Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist with specialist neuro experience to join the Neuro OT team at St George's Hospital. The successful candidate will support the clinical delivery of care to acute stroke patients on the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) and Acute Stroke Unit (ASU), working within an established stroke pathway.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely neuro assessments for acute stroke patients
  • Devise and implement tailored treatment and rehabilitation programmes
  • Provide functional re-training and specialist seating input
  • Deliver cognitive and perceptual assessments
  • Plan and support complex discharges and rehabilitation pathways
  • Collaborate with the MDT to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
  • Proven experience in stroke and neuro rehabilitation
  • Strong skills in cognitive and perceptual assessment, functional rehab, and discharge planning
  • Knowledge of specialist seating and complex rehabilitation planning
