We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join one of the leading NHS Trusts in Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role and make a significant impact on patient care within a hospital setting. This role is essential in promoting self-care, independence, and rehabilitation.

Job Description:

The role involves working in Rheumatology/MSK and T&O Hand Therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a defined caseload of complex patients with supervision from a Senior Therapist/Clinical Lead.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient interventions using evidence-based, patient-centred principles.
  • Participate in research and foster a research-driven culture within the Rheumatology/MSK and T&O Hand services.
  • Support the supervision and education of junior staff, unregistered members, and Occupational Therapy students.
  • Adapt to frequent, unpredictable changes in service demand and capacity.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Proven experience in Rheumatology/MSK and/or Hand Therapy
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience in supervising junior staff and students is preferred
