We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join the team at one of the NHS Trusts in East Anglia. You will be working with a dynamic and multidisciplinary team committed to providing high-quality care. The Trust offers a wide range of health services, including mental health, community services, and specialist healthcare across the region. With a strong emphasis on patient-centered care and continuous professional development, it is an excellent place for healthcare professionals to advance their careers.

The occupational therapist will provide specialist assessments and interventions underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation and the principles of recovery and enablement/reablement. The post holder will use specialist clinical skills and reasoning to manage a caseload with complex needs, working autonomously while referring to senior staff when necessary.

The occupational therapist will apply a deep understanding of how mental and physical health conditions affect occupational performance, offering training and advice on lifestyle changes and adapting the service user's social and physical environment. This role works collaboratively with service users to promote vocational rehabilitation, serving as a team resource and specialist in vocational rehabilitation and employment. The occupational therapist will contribute to the delivery of specialized, occupational-focused interventions, including sensory integration and enabling/reablement approaches. All care planning will involve the service user and, where appropriate, the carer, collaboratively identifying, pursuing, and reviewing goals within the care planning context.

Skills:

  • HCPC Professional Registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Additional clinical training relevant to specialism.
  • Experience working with individuals with a range of mental health or learning disability challenges.
  • Experience working with a range of statutory and non-statutory services.
  • Experience working with carers or families.

To apply for this role, please reply with your updated CV and job reference number.
