Are you an experienced Band 5 Occupational Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? We are recruiting a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the team in a leading NHS Trust in the East Midlands of England. The Trust only works on Direct Engagement Mode of payment.

As an occupational therapist, you are a key member of the multidisciplinary team working in partnership with older adults, undertaking specialist occupational therapy assessments and contributing to multi-disciplinary treatment, care planning and providing leadership and supervision for support staff. You will need to have a BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent. You need to be HCPC registered.

It is essential that you have a positive attitude towards people with mental health needs and can demonstrate how your experience would support you when working with this client group, including knowledge of dementia and mental health with an awareness of occupational therapy assessments and interventions suitable for this clinical area.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Assessment and OT process skills relevant to clinical area.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • OT skills in relation to longer term and acute mental health.
  • Skilled in motivating others.
  • Skilled in use of clinical supervision.
