Location: Carshalton, South London
Contract Start Date: 18/07/2025
Rate: £20.00 - £23.00/hr PAYE (DE)

The Client:
A well-established NHS service delivering vital community-based healthcare for children and young people across South London. The role is based in a busy community paediatric therapy setting with a focus on assessment and treatment of children with a range of physical, sensory, and developmental needs.

The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Band 5 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the team on a temporary basis. The post is ideal for someone who has experience in paediatrics and is looking to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting. The role will continue until a permanent member of staff is appointed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and manage a paediatric caseload with varying needs including motor coordination, sensory processing, and functional independence

Provide therapy in clinic and community settings as required

Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to support child development and wellbeing

Contribute to goal setting, progress monitoring, and ongoing care planning

Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service improvement activities

Requirements:

HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

Proven experience working in a paediatric setting is essential

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently
