Grade/Job Title: Band 5 Orthopaedic Practitioner / Plaster Technician

This is a 37.5-hour post working in the Fracture Clinic. The successful candidate will assess patient care needs, develop and evaluate care plans, and provide plastering services for the orthopaedic ward, clinics, theatres, fracture clinics, and Emergency Department.

• Perform holistic assessments and develop management plans independently.
• Utilize specialist knowledge to treat patients in the Plaster Room and assist in service development.
• Collaborate with the Lead Nurse, Managers, and Multidisciplinary Team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, patient-centered services.
• Participate in teaching and act as an educational resource.
• Work flexibly to meet service needs.

Must have BOA Casting Certificate and excellent communication skills to work effectively as part of the Fracture Clinic team.
