We are looking for a Client Services Director with a passion for patient engagement solutions to join dynamic team at Atlantis Health UK.

This role is responsible for leading the client services function across client solution strategy, account leadership, behavioural science, commercial growth, and business development.

Role overview

Reporting to the UK Country Manager, and acting as the senior strategic lead for the UK client portfolio, the role provides strategic direction and solutions to clients and internal project teams, ensuring Atlantis Health delivers behaviorally informed, commercially aligned and sustainable solutions that create value for all stakeholders.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership & Strategic Guidance
  • Develop and maintain trusted senior-level relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Act as a senior strategic advisor to clients, helping them identify opportunities, address business challenges, and shape programmes that support their objectives.
  • Lead executive business reviews, strategic planning discussions, and senior stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and overall account health.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for Solution Directors on complex client issues, strategic decisions, and growth opportunities.
  • Commercial Growth & Business Development
  • Own revenue growth across the UK client portfolio, including expansion of existing accounts and development of new client opportunities.
  • Lead development and management of the UK growth pipeline, identifying opportunities across current clients, prospective clients, therapy areas, and service lines.
  • Lead or sponsor proposals, pitches, scopes of work, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure opportunities are strategically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with Atlantis Health capabilities and priorities.
  • Partner with Account Directors to develop account growth plans, senior client engagement plans, and pipeline opportunities.
  • Contribute to UK strategic planning, revenue forecasting, and budgeting activities.
  • Strategic Leadership & Solution Excellence
  • Provide strategic oversight across client programmes, solution design, proposals, and growth opportunities.
  • Challenge and guide Account Directors to ensure recommendations are strategically robust, commercially viable, and aligned with client objectives and audience needs.
  • Build strategic capability within the client services team through coaching and mentoring.
  • Review forecasting accuracy and support revenue recognition processes in partnership with Finance and Operations.
  • Bring behavioural science expertise, healthcare industry insight, and market trends into client discussions, business planning, and solution development.
  • Set standards for strategic account management, client engagement, business development, and evidence-informed solution design
  • People Leadership & Capability Development
  • Line manage, coach, and develop all UK Account Directors and the Behavioural Science Lead.
  • Support team members to build their strategic thinking, commercial capability, leadership skills, and client advisory expertise.
  • Foster our culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and client focus.
  • Champion collaboration, knowledge‑sharing, and integrated ways of working across teams.
  • Support learning and development across the client services function.
  • Establish clear priorities, expectations, ways of working and standards of performance
  • Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and workplace procedures.
  • Follow all company policies, governance requirements, and operational standards.
  • Identify and escape business risks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain all mandatory and role-specific training requirements.
  • Promote continuous improvement and ensure activities are conducted in line with regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.
  • Required experience and skills
  • At least five years of experience in patient engagement strategy and omnichannel solutions design and delivery in UK and Europe.
  • Experience leading within a lean and agile business environment, balancing strategic leadership with accountability for tangible commercial and client outcomes
  • Strong understanding of behavioral science and its application in patient engagement.
  • Significant senior-level experience in client services, account management, consulting, or strategy leadership.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical, life sciences or healthcare organisations.
  • Proven experience leading senior client relationships and multidisciplinary teams, in
  • Experience leading global or multi-market client engagements.
  • Strong commercial acumen, business development experience, and ability to lead proposals, pitches, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ability to operate as the senior strategic lead for clients while supporting and developing strategic capability in others.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience contributing to agency leadership teams, business planning, and organisational growth initiatives.
