We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of renewable energy assets (wind, solar PV and BESS) in the UK. This role will focus on optimising asset performance, monitoring financial performance and managing commercial agreements to maximise asset returns.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary asset manager and accountable individual for the two operational onshore wind assets.
  • Lead the operational and financial oversight of the assets with limited supervision.
  • Analyse and resolve performance issues working alongside technical and commercial teams.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maximise asset performance.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for each asset and identify opportunities to optimise performance.
  • Work collaboratively with Technical & Engineering teams to develop and implement the operational transition strategy for all future assets reaching commercial operations, starting with a co-located PV and BESS asset in 2027.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Manage accurate reporting of information utilising internal Atlantica reporting systems and application dashboards.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality performance reports for executive and investor audiences.
  • Maintain excellent health, safety and environmental standards and satisfaction of legislation, industry best practice and Atlantica’s policies.

Commercial Management

  • Oversee the key third party contracts such as the Asset Management, Operations & Maintenance and Route To Market Agreements.
  • Manage critical service provider relationships and lead negotiations for contract improvements.
  • Oversee insurance, warranty, and contract administration processes.
  • Ensure compliance with market requirements and third party agreements such as land lease, grid connection agreement and planning permission.
  • Support contract negotiations to secure Operations & Maintenance, Long Term Service Agreements and Route to Market Agreements for future construction assets.

Continuous Improvements

  • Serve as subject matter expert across asset optimisation, financial performance, and risk management, as well as providing input to the business development teams to optimise the performance of future assets.
  • Develop and implement new initiatives, processes or standards to maximise asset performance and returns.
  • Lead integration of new technologies, tools, and best practices industry-wide.
  • Work with business development teams to assess, quantify and implement once approved augmentation, hybridisation and repowering opportunities to extend the existing useful life and maximise returns.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
  • Asset management or finance certification is desirable.
  • Full UK Driving License.

Experience & Personal Skills

  • 5+ years in experience in renewable energy sector across wind, solar PV and BESS projects.
  • Proven track record in asset management.
  • Expertise across commercial, technical, financial and risk management.
  • Experience with asset management platforms, reporting systems and continuous improvement tools.
  • Highly organised, strong analytical judgement, proactive and ability to multi across range of complex workstreams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
