Our client is at the forefront of modernising the financial industry, and utilises cutting-edge technology to provide innovative solutions that empower individuals and businesses to better manage their finances.

Our client is seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to play a key role in developing and enhancing their platform as they continue to expand and evolve. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning both the front-end and back-end, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features and functionalities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • This is a hybrid role, but will only require 1 day in the Bristol office each week.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable software solutions, spanning both frontend and backend components.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implement responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using modern web technologies and develop robust and efficient backend services using server-side technologies.
  • The current stack is largely React, Typescript, NodeJS and React Native but new technologies are constantly reviewed as they seek to optimise their products.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, with a strong track record of designing and building complex web applications.
  • Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies, including React, Typescript, NodeJS and React Native.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the major cloud platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse requirements and propose technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Prior experience in the fintech or financial services industry is desirable but not essential.
