Our client is at the forefront of modernising the financial industry, and utilises cutting-edge technology to provide innovative solutions that empower individuals and businesses to better manage their finances. Our client is seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to play a key role in developing and enhancing their platform as they continue to expand and evolve.
You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning both the front-end and back-end, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features and functionalities.
Role Responsibilities:- This is a hybrid role, but will only require 1 day in the Bristol office each week.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable software solutions, spanning both frontend and backend components.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using modern web technologies and develop robust and efficient backend services using server-side technologies. The current stack is largely React, Typescript, NodeJS and React Native but new technologies are constantly reviewed as they seek to optimise their products.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, with a strong track record of designing and building complex web applications.
- Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies, including React, Typescript, NodeJS and React Native.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with at least one of the major cloud platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse requirements and propose technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
- Prior experience in the fintech or financial services industry is desirable but not essential.
