Atlantic Projects Company has been servicing the electricity, oil, gas, process, and renewable sectors for half a century, APC has become one of the most experienced power industry contractors in the world.
APC are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join the Team on a fixed-term contract for Maternity Cover. The role will be based at Cardinal Square, Derby and reporting directly to the CFO. The role will full-time office based, with core working hours 8am – 5pm (1 hour break) Monday to Friday.
DUTIES
Brief description
- Develop recruitment strategies and manage the hiring process to attract and retain talent.
- Support onboarding of employees, via systems such as allocating training, inductions, site-specific inductions.
- Implement systems for managing payroll, employee benefits and compliance with labour laws.
- Manage and issue salaried staff offer letters and contracts of employment.
- Develop and implement training programs to support the business.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure a productive compliant work environment.
- Oversee compensation management.
- Address employee complaints, grievances and performance issues.
- Ensure that all HR practices comply with employment law and regulations.
- Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the business, focusing on how people can help achieve business goals.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Use HR analytics to make data-driven decisions about HR practices.
- Provide Senior Management with necessary monthly/annual reports.
- Support as required on day-to-day administration tasks as required.
- To support on any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or degree level qualified in the relevant field.
DO YOU HAVE?
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of UK Employment Law – essential
- Knowledge of Ireland Employment Law – desirable
- Computer literate with programmes such as Word, Excel etc.
- Organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
- An ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality is essential.
