Position Overview
As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day upkeep of the building, ensuring all areas are safe, functional, and presented to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine hotel maintenance tasks.
- Assist with the implementation of the hotel's preventive maintenance system and repair log.
- Carry out minor carpentry: re‑hanging doors, removing/replacing fittings and fixtures, and furniture repairs.
- Handle light plumbing work such as fixing taps, replacing washers, and clearing drains.
- Conduct light electrical work, including replacing cracked plugs, changing light fittings or lightbulbs, and replacing faceplates.
- Paint and decorate to a high standard.
- Assist with renovation projects under the direction of the Head of Maintenance and Group Maintenance Manager.
