We’re recruiting for a Transaction Services Associate to join a high-impact internal consulting team that partners with investment professionals across the firm. This group plays a critical role in deal structuring, technical accounting, valuation, capital management, and financial reporting, while also owning accounting policy and delivering transactional support across all asset classes, including fixed income, private credit, real estate, private equity, derivatives, and energy investments.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a key accounting advisor to front-office teams—reviewing contracts and complex transaction terms to ensure accurate treatment and compliance.
- Lead and perform consolidation assessments for legal entities and SPVs, with ongoing reassessment as needed.
- Research and interpret the technical accounting and reporting implications of complex, non-routine transactions—covering areas such as CLOs, joint ventures, distressed debt, and structured financing.
- Apply US GAAP, IFRS, and NAIC standards to unique investment scenarios; produce well-reasoned accounting memos and executive-level presentations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate Finance, external auditors, and outsourcing partners to ensure seamless deal execution and reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of technical accounting experience, ideally from a Big 4 firm (financial services or national office) or a financial institution in a policy role.
- CPA (or equivalent) required.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP with exposure to IFRS and STAT; expertise in financial instruments, derivatives, securitizations, lending products, and consolidation.
- Proven ability to navigate and resolve complex technical issues with minimal oversight.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
