Reports to: Senior Licensed Engineer
Location: RAF Brize Norton
We work in partnership with Airbus Aerospace & Defence to supply dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, to the Royal Air Forceβs fleet of A400M Atlas aircraft. Our committed and flexible team of over 100 engineers and management are based at RAF Brize Norton in a dedicated 24,000mΒ², three-bay facility designed to optimise the maintenance of the aircraft. AAG Defence Services is a subsidiary company of Atlantic Aviation Group.
As an Aircraft Fitter you will be responsible for:
- Maintenance, Repairs and Modifications to the aircraft.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment.
- Accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
- Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
- Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the Atlantic Aviation Group Defence services (AAG DS) MOE and supporting manuals.
- Complying with the AAG DS safety policy.
- Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard.
- An awareness of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum 4 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy AAG DS Training / Maintenance management team.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Be able to successfully complete MOD security clearance.
- Experience on Airbus, Propeller or Wide body Aircraft.
- Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations.
- IPAF/MEWP familiarisation.
- Primarily based in Brize Norton; however, travel may be required.
- Shift will be 5, 5, 4-day shift 0700-1900.
- PPE is provided by AAG DS and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.
